How the Books Work

Weekly Audio Lessons

Each week, readers scan a QR code in the book, which plays a 1-2 minute audio lesson. The lesson provides context and suggests a specific action to take related to emotional intelligence or leadership.

5 Days of Journaling

After each lesson, readers journal for five days using the OAT principle (Observe, Act, Tell) to reflect on the action they took and their experiences. Journaling enhances stress reduction and learning retention.

Focused Titles

Our books offer various titles, such as Understanding Emotional Intelligence, Self-Awareness, Teamwork, and Motivation, designed to target critical areas of personal and team development.

Assessment & Feedback

We guide readers to reflect on their learning, actions, and outcomes, encouraging them to review their results with their boss, fostering growth and partnership between the leader and employee.

Time Commitment

Each day requires only 60 to 90 seconds, but the impact lasts. The process encourages personal growth and creates a tangible tool that participants can share with their leader to demonstrate progress.

  • Who are these books best suited for?
HR professionals, managers, and team leaders in mid-to-large organizations looking to improve team dynamics. As well as individual contributors seeking self-development tools, career coaches, and leadership trainers.
  • Can organizations purchase bulk copies?
Yes, of course! If you would like to order in bulk, please contact tim@progresscoachingleader.com to discuss bulk pricing.
  • Are these books suitable for individual use or only for teams?
These books are designed for both individuals and teams, serving as your personal coach for a transformative 12-week journey. You'll develop and grow in the specific topic you choose, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • What is the OATâ„¢ principle, and how does it work?
OAT stands for Observe, Ask, and Tell. Readers will be asked to: Share observations specific to the topic of the lesson that week. Share actions taken or can be taken specific to the lesson that week. Tell of the commitment going forward specific to improvement germane to the lesson that week. We use this unique and simple acronym to evaluate how readers are applying the insights from the books. This enables leaders to validate the employee's understanding and recognize how the information is influencing them and driving behavioral change.
  • How much time does the book require daily?
Each day requires just 60 to 90 seconds. The audio lessons are brief, and readers are encouraged to take as much time as needed to journal and reflect on the content. The books are designed to deliver concise yet impactful lessons that seamlessly fit into anyone’s daily routine.
  • Do you offer coaching services to complement the books?
Yes! We offer two solutions if you are looking for more and to go deeper into the information: Cadence Coaching: Cadence Coaching offers training on specific areas where leaders seek to grow, utilizing flexible, asynchronous communication methods (text, video, and audio messages) to provide quick, effective feedback and coaching. Coachees are provided with learning materials and similarly to the books, record their insights in a private workbook, which is reviewed by a certified coach who provides personalized feedback. This dynamic method eliminates scheduling delays, allowing for real-time application and accelerated growth. Approachability & Coachability: This unique approach provides thought-provoking high- energy workshops twice per month on topics such as feedback, motivation, EQ, teamwork, and more. They include engaging activities, such as interactive games conducted on the Kahoot platform. At the conclusion of each session, a post-learning assessment will be administered. This assessment will provide attendees and their supervisors with a summary of key takeaways, ensuring the effectiveness of the learning experience and promoting accountability.
